The only theme park bringing the 1900s back to life

A true journey through time, in a typical old Périgord village where vintage rides and a traditional fairground await you. A ride on the Great Wheel, dating back to 1900, offers both thrills and beautiful views over Le Bugue and the Vézère Valley.

The many animals delight children and adults alike. You can even pose for a sepia-toned portrait in our Belle Époque photo studio.

A village of the past and its traditional crafts

Passionate artisans bring old trades—some now disappearing—back to life. You will also discover an exceptional collection of period objects, tools, toys, and machines, along with all the places that give a village its charm: washhouse, mill, school, chapel, vegetable garden, bakery, garage…

Here, everything breathes the nostalgic charm of village life from another era.

You can learn to write with a quill pen at school, shape clay, or make traditional handmade toys during workshops.

A place of Périgord gastronomy and celebration

Le Parc du Bournat is also home to several restaurants where you can enjoy famous Périgord specialities:

  • Chez Paul restaurant, serving generous local cuisine under century-old oak trees with ginguette music
  • The brasserie, featuring local products paired with wine or beer brewed on site
  • Chez Odette rotisserie, for lovers of roasted poultry and meats
  • The ice cream parlour/pastry shop and the gourmet food cart

Picnic areas are also available in the many shaded spaces provided throughout the park.

You can purchase products made on site—such as flour, walnut oil, jam, bread, vegetables and herbs from the garden, soaps, beers, and more—at the shop.

And of course, don’t miss the Nocturnes, held on Ascension Friday and every July and August. On these popular evenings, the park stays open until 11:00 p.m. and turns festive with live music, light shows, fireworks, and wood-fired roasted meats for all to enjoy.

30 years of success

Founded in 1992, the park welcomes around 160,000 visitors each year. Unique in France, it ranks among the 10 most visited sites in the Périgord Noir and is a must-see destination for tourism in Dordogne, appreciated by both the general public and the media.
